Place-des-Arts: A Transcription of Summer Delirium
Montreal is a metropolis governed by its extremes. The 'Summer Fest' palette is a transcription of the city’s July delirium—specifically the riotous voltage of the Quartier des Spectacles. It sets electric lemon, sunburst orange, and magenta against the backdrop of a deep indigo sky. This is a deliberate departure from our usual architectural restraint, abandoning greyscale for a frenetic grid of pale mint, hot pink, and deep purple. Ideally deployed during the monochrome months of winter, this spectrum acts as a necessary optical stimulant—a permanent preservation of the season’s heat and noise. While a similar chromatic intensity reverberates through our Peel station collection, the Place-des-Arts station collection remains the primary stage for this spectacle.
